The city treasurer receives all city revenue and provides regular reports to the mayor, city council, and city administrator on all revenue received.  The city treasurer also serves as the city's property tax collector and also sells city garbage stickers.  The treasurer also signs all checks issued by the city.

2013-2014 Pittston City Refuse/Trash (Garbage Sticker) bills are being mailed the week of April 29th and are due within thirty (30) days of the issue date on the bill.  New GRAY garbage stickers must be used as of June 3, 2013. 2013 Pittston City Property Taxes are now payable at the "face" amount.

The city's new Home Rule Charter requires a  "HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION" property tax reduction for all owner-occupied residences in the city beginning in 2013 and the city council and mayor have enacted the necessary ordinance. For more information click here.
