Sticker Color is Orange.

168 stickers                         $160.00 per year
 


Recycling

The City of Pittston is committed to recycling. It is the law. There are several procedures that should be followed inm order to recycle properly.

1. All bottles, cans, and jars should be rinsed and cleaned.

2. Plastics should be crushed.

3. Do NOT break glass products.

4. Labels do not have to be removed

5. All bottle and jar tops should be removed.

6. Newspapers should be placed in a brown paper bag or wrapped by cotton string.

7. Magazines should be separated and recycled in the same fashion as newspapers.

8. The following should NOT be recycled:
- pizza boxes, aerosol spray cans, foil, tissue boxes, cereal boxes, paint cans, foil, ceremics, tissue boxes, telephone books, motor oil bottles.


Yard Waste

Yard waste does not include grass clippings. Weeds, twigs, branches, hedge clippings, etc. should be placed in open containers at curbside on the appointed pick-up days.

Tuesday-South Pittston from Broad Street to Jenkins Township border.

66 stickers           =              $130.00 per year
138 stickers                         $170.00 per year
 

All garbage should be in 35 gal garbage bags with sticker and weigh no more than 35 lbs.
 
IF YOUR REGULAR SCHEDULE PICKUP DAYS FALLS ON A HOLIDAY,
YOUR GARBAGE WILL BE PICKUP UP THE FOLLOWING DAY.
