The City of Pittston Building and Property Maintenance Code Appeals Board will conduct a public hearing on Monday November 14, 2016 at 3:00pm  in the first floor conference room of Pittston City Hall, 35 Broad Street, Pittston to consider these appeals:

  1. Request of JC Holdings of NEPA LLC for relief of building code requirements related to separations for commercial structures for residential units at 47 North Main Street;
  2. Appeal of Jerome Sindaco concerning enforcement actions related to the City Property Maintenance Code for the property at 133 Broad Street.

Any person who is aggrieved by an interpretation, order, Enforcement Action Notification or Inspection Report by the Code Enforcement Officer or the Building Code Official, may file an appeal with the Building and Property Maintenance Code Appeals Board.  The Board does not have jurisdiction over zoning, land development or subdivision issues.

Appeals must be filed within twenty (20) days of the order or directive at issue.  In order to file an appeal, please see below for the Code Appeals Board Operating Procedures and the Code Appeals Board Application.  The form includes filing instructions.  A non-refundable fee of $250.00 must be submitted before an appeal application will be accepted and processed.
