The City of Pittston Parking Authority owns and operates several public parking lots within the city.  The Parking Authority was established pursuant to Section 18-3 of the Pittston City Code.  The Parking Authority is governed by a 5 member Board of Directors appointed by the City Council, and employs a professional Executive Director to run day to day operations.  The Parking Authority’s offices are located on the 2nd floor of Pittston City Hall, 35 Broad Street, and can be telephoned at 570-654-4601.

Pango is Pittston City’s latest and greatest way to pay for your hourly parking – by smartphone! Did your meeting run long and now your meter expired? Don’t worry, Pango has you covered! You can pay for your hourly parking by cellphone instead of revisiting the meter when your time expires. To pay for hourly parking by cellphone you have three options:

  1. Call 1-877-myPango (1-877-697-2646) from any phone
  2. Download the My Pango application onto your smartphone
  3. Opening the website www.mypango.com on any internet browser

Signing up for a Pango account is completely free and takes only a few minutes. You need your contact information, license plate(s), and method of payment. Signing up happens securely through an encrypted session so you personal information is never at risk.Once you have registered for your Pango account, you’re ready to pay for parking on the go!

To pay for parking with Pango in Pittston City, please follow the instructions below of on-street parking.

  1. Park your car in the location of your choice
  2. Start parking session and payment, using one of the following options:

    • Call 1-877-myPango (1-877-697-2646) from your registered mobile phone and follow the IVR* or ASR* instructions.
    • Call 1-877-myPango (1-877-697-2646) from any phone, enter your mobile phone # and your pin code, and follow the IVR* or ASR** instructions.
    • Text back “Stop Pango” from your registered mobile phone to the same number from which you have received the activation confirmation text message.
    • Visit www.myPango.com, Sign-In, go to “Park Car”, select your car and hit the “stop” button.
