The Pittston City St. Patrick’s Parade Committee in conjunction with the City of Pittston kicked off our Inaugural parade in Downtown Pittston on Saturday, March 8, 2014.

Join us for our 5th Annual parade on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 12PM

Parade Day Events:

11AM – Leprechaun Loop Race

Join other runners/walkers for the 3rd annual Leprechaun Loop 1 mile race.

The run/walk will start promptly at 11AM on Saturday March 3 right before the parade. You’ll have plenty of time to finish and pick out a prime spot to watch the parade from.

The run begins at William and Main Streets, and ends in the same spot.

The course is a relatively flat 1 mile loop around downtown. Streets will be traffic controlled and the course will be marked.

There will also be a costume contest! Be sure to wear an Irish themed costume to get the party started. Prizes will be awarded to the best three costumes.

A portion of the race’s proceeds will be donated to the Care and Concern Free Health Clinic at St. John the Evangelist Church

Award ceremony will be held after the race in Joyce Insurance parking lot. There will be no awards for walkers.
Medals to 1st place in each age category, male and female.

12PM – Pittston’s St. Patrick’s Parade

Irish dancers, pipe bands and much more. Pittson’s St. Patrick’s Parade has grown year over year and 2018 looks to be the biggest yet. Join us on Main Street for a parade you won’t soon forget. And we even have a new feature this year:  “LITTLE MISS & MR. LEPRECHAUN”.

The Little Miss and Little Mister Pittston Leprechaun contest will be held Saturday, February 24, at 1:30 p.m. The contest will be held at the Pittston Memorial Library. Contestants are asked to be there by 1 p.m. to check in.

The first category, “Little Miss Pittston Leprechaun” is open to girls, three to seven years old. The second category, “Little Mister Pittston Leprechaun, is open to boys, three to seven years old. The categories will be judged with 50 points for beauty and 50 points for personality. The children are asked to wear something casual – it’s not a pageant.

One winner will be chosen in each category with one runner-up. Entry fee is $5 and prizes will be awarded. Checks should be made payable to the Pittston City Saint Patrick’s Parade. Deadline for entries is February 21. Submit an entry form today
