    The City of Pittston is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Police Officer. Applicants must have Act 120 certification and a valid PA driver’s license. Verification of credentials and a background check are a part of the hiring process. Applications may be obtained at Pittston City Hall, 35 Broad Street, Pittston, PA 18640, Monday-Friday 9am to 4pm.     • Be 18 years of age
    • Be a U.S. citizen in good standing

    • Possess current Pennsylvania Act 120 Certidication

  • Part-Time Laborer—Streets & Sanitation

    The City of Pittston is accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Seasonal Laborer for the Departments of Streets & Sanitation. Hours variable but typically begin at 7:00am Monday-Friday at an hourly rate of $13.65.

    Duties include, but are not limited to: garbage and recycling collection; leaf collection; snow removal; repair and maintenance of roadways, street signs and sanitary/storm sewers; vehicle maintenance; parks & public property. Applicants must be able to pick up 50lbs, work outdoors in all types of weather, and demonstrate experience in working safely in traffic and around heavy equipment.
