NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CARES ACT FUNDING
MODIFICATION
Notice is hereby given that the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittston will hold a public hearing on December 22, 2022 at 4pm in Pittston City Hall, Council Chambers.

The hearing for the CARES Act Community Development Block Grant (CV-CDBG) Program will provide an opportunity to citizens to comment on the proposed modification to the CDBG CV activities. The Coronavirus Aid, relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), provides additional CDBG funds to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus pandemic. The City is proposing to use approximately $6,596.89 left from an activity which came in underbudget (Lincoln Heights Ventilation) to put towards a new activity, the provision of an air filtration system at the City of Pittston Housing Authority foyer at Infantino Towers with other funds contributed from the Housing Authority of the City of Pittston.
Written comments on the proposed modification of the use of CDBG-CV funds will be accepted by the Pittston Redevelopment Authority until 4 p.m. January 17, 2023 and may be addressed to: the Redevelopment Authority at the above address or email jchacke@pittstonrda.com City Council will consider approval of the application at the regular Council meeting on January 18, 2023.
All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and give oral testimony at the public hearing or present written comments or to send written comments to the Pittston Redevelopment Authority, Attention Joseph Chacke at 35 Broad St. Pittston PA or jchacke@pittstonrda.com.
